LENS MATERIAL
PROGRESSIVE LENS
Instead of having just two or three lenspowers like bifocals or trifocals, progressive lenses are true "multifocal" lenses that provide a seamless progression of many lenspowers for all viewing distances. Withprogressive lenses, you can look up to see clearly across the room and in the distance.
BIFOCAL LENS
bifocal lens is created with two different areas of vision correction, which are divided by a distinct line that sits horizontally across the lens. The top portion of the lens is used for distance, while the bottom portion of the lens is used for closer vision.
1. PLASTIC LENS (CR-39)
Due to its light weight (about half the weight of glass), low cost and excellent optical qualities, CR-39 plastic remains a popular material for eyeglass lenses even today.
2. POLYCARBONATE LENS
Polycarbonate lenses are up to 10 times more impact-resistant than plastic or glass lenses and they provide 100% protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. They are also lightweight, adding to the comfort of your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and sports eyewear.
3. HIGH INDEX 1.67 LENS
In the past 20 years, in response to the demand for thinner, lighter eyeglasses, a number of lens manufacturers have introduced high-index plastic lenses. These lenses are thinner and lighter than CR-39 plastic lenses because they have a higher index of refraction and may also have a lower specific gravity.
4. HIGH INDEX 1.74 LENS
1.74 high index lenses are better for those looking for the thinnest lens possible; generally, people with extremely high prescriptions choose this option.

TRANSITIONS
Photochromic lenses are eyeglass lensesthat darken automatically when exposed to sunlight, then fade back when you return indoors. In most cases, photochromic lensesare clear (or nearly clear) indoors and darken to a medium sun tint outdoors.
POLARIZED LENS
A polarizing filter or polarising filter is often placed in front of the camera lens in photography in order to darken skies, manage reflections, or suppress glare from the surface of lakes or the sea.
